LibreOffice 7.4 released

LibreOffice is a free and open-source office productivity suite. It is developed by Document Foundation. It includes word processing, spreadsheets, slideshows, diagrams and drawings and working with databases. Following are the list of applications a user gets after installing LibreOffice :

  1. LibreOffice Writer
  2. LibreOffice Calc
  3. LibreOffice Impress
  4. LibreOffice Draw
  5. LibreOffice Math
  6. LibreOffice Base

In the year 2010, it was forked from OpenOffice.org. Being a cross-platform application, it is available for Microsoft Windows, mac-OS, and Linux. Besides, it has been a go-to office suite for most popular Linux distributions.

At the time of writing, version 7.4 is its latest stable release. One of changes include increase in the number of LibreOffice Calc columns. So, for those who work with large amounts of data then, it now supports 16,384 columns.

When it comes to LibreOffice Writer, we can use remote Language APIs for checking grammar. And, then there are performance updates available.
